Free Netley Marsh Eurojumble Tickets for RealClassic Readers

by

The RealClassic Roadshow returns to the Netley Marsh Eurojumble this autumn for the first time in five years. So we’re celebrating by giving away ten pairs of tickets to RC magazine readers…

We haven’t taken the RC Roadshow to the Netley Marsh Eurojumble for a few years now. The event used to take up a lot of time (four days for us) and is held on a green field site which left us somewhat exposed to the elements (and magazines tend to turn to papier-mâché tout suite in a howling gale). But now we have staff to run the admin side of things, and have been promised deluxe accommodation in a suitably weatherproof tent – so off we go to Southampton for Friday 9th and Saturday 10th of September, 2011.

Apparently we’re not the only traders to be returning after an interlude or attending the Eurojumble for the first time. The traditional exhibitors, jumblers and clubs have already booked in alongside a range of new traders who don’t normally venture this far south. If you’ve not been before, Eurojumble takes place near the New Forest and fills two or three giant fields with hundreds of stalls selling genuine jumble, modern repro spares, accessories and upgrades, all the way from grub screws up to whole motorcycles. Take plenty of dosh with you – we just missed buying a T100C here one year because we didn’t have the cash to hand. There’s always an array of Continental traders, too (hence the name of the event) who you tend not to see further up country.

For many folk, Eurojumble also provides the perfect opportunity to clear out the garage and put a few quid in the pot for the winter project. You can buy a pitch from just £50 so it’s worth clubbing together with a couple of chums to take a space plot and sell your surplus spares. This also gives you ‘early bird’ access to the rest of the jumble when the genuine bargains are up for grabs (and it’s always entertaining to see the same engines selling at £200 at Netley then reappearing at Stafford with £300 price tags!)

As well as over 550 trade and jumble plots, Eurojumble also features a classic bike show all of its own, with hundreds of beautiful classic machines of all eras on display from both club stands and private entries.

So you’ll also have the chance to chat with the people who know most about your favourite make and model, examine a well-fettled example and compare notes about mudguard mounting brackets, the correct grade of gearbox oil and whether anyone has come up with a practical solution to ethanol angst just yet…

KH Kawasakis on Now…

Tickets normally cost £7 for adults on the gate, but to celebrate our return to Eurojumble we’re giving away (free, gratis and for nothing) ten pairs of tickets to current subscribers to the monthly RC magazine. All you need to do is answer our fiendishly easy question by email, and then wait to see if you’ve won.

THE QUESTION: The 2011 Eurojumble takes place at:

  • A: Neptune Mars
  • B: Netley Marsh
  • C: Marsh Mallow

Send your answer by email to rchq(at)realclassic.net, and include your name, address, and RC Club number (it’s on the label of your magazine each month if you have somehow lost your Club card).

Closing date for entries is noon on August 23rd 2011. The ten winners will be selected at random from all the correct entries and will be informed by email (see further down if terms and conditions hold a deep fascination for you).

Winners are encouraged to celebrate their good luck by turning up at the RC stand with two cups of white coffee (no sugar thanks) and perhaps something suitably chocolatety to temper TP’s temper ‘cos she has to stay back at RCHQ and isn’t allowed out to play at weekends.

    Eurojumble...

Of course, there is a chance that you won’t be lucky this time. If you don’t win a pair of tickets then you can still save money by booking them in advance, at discounted prices and with access to the set-up day on Thursday from 01507 529529.

For full event information see www.classicbikeshows.co.uk

To book a stand call 01507 529430. Parking is free and weekend camping costs £20.

    Small Print

This competition is for ten pairs of tickets to the 2011 Eurojumble, organised by Classic Bike Shows. No alternative prizes are offered. Employees of the Cosmic Bike Company and MMG Ltd are excluded from entry. You must be a current subscriber to RealClassic magazine to enter the competition, and only one entry per person will be accepted. Classic Bike Shows will send your pair of tickets by post: if the Royal Mail don’t deliver them in time then we can offer nothing apart from commiserations and a sympathetic grin.
