What could be better than a grand day out, surrounded by British classic bikes and motorcycling personalities? Well, how about a grand day out for FREE? That’s what you get at the National Motorcycle Museum’s LIVE event. Come on a bike and you don’t even pay to park – and you could even collect a RealClassic concours award as a bonus!
The NMM’s LIVE Open Day is on Saturday 27th October this year, when the normal admission charge of a tenner is waived. You have all day to browse the British bikes displayed in half a dozen halls; around 850 road, race and prototype motorcycles from 170 manufacturers, from the earliest pioneer machines to the most modern superbikes. On top of that, there’s a non-stop schedule of special events – easily enough going on to fill an entire day. Look out for:
The RealClassic Car-Park Concours. Our editor FrankW will choose his top three bikes from all the machines in the car park at noon, with prizes for the winners and a chance to be featured in the magazine
Indoor autojumble and trade stalls. All indoors in the warm and dry, offering spare parts, services, tools. clothing and more

Win An Interceptor: John McGuinness will draw the winning ticket so someone will win a 1969 Royal Enfield Interceptor Mk2 worth over £12k. Tickets are still available from 01675 444123
You’ll find the RC Roadshow alongside the trade stands, probably in the Compton Suite. Stop by to say hello, browse the back issues, buy a binder or a T-shirt and see whether your classic has won a concours award – we’ll have the winners’ details on the stand from 1pm. See you there!
